The holiday commemorates a harvest festival celebrated by the Pilgrims in 1621, and is held in the US on the fourth Thursday in November. A similar holiday is held in Canada, usually on the second Monday in October. It also is a day to hang out with your friends and eat. The meals that are most popular for thanksgiving day is a stuffed turkey. Also mashed potatoes and corn and other tip of foods. Thanks giving day is also to visit friends or family that you haven't seen in a long time.
